Grassy Lake is a village located in the south-western part of the Canadian province of Alberta. It is situated in the Municipal District of Taber, approximately 319 km south-east of the city of Calgary.
The village has a population of approximately 500 people and covers an area of 1.18 km². The economy of the community is largely based on agriculture, with several farms and ranches operating in the surrounding area.
The community of Grassy Lake has several amenities including a park, community hall, skating rink, and a local grocery store. The local school, Grassy Lake School, is a K-12 institution and is operated by the Horizon School Division.
In terms of recreational opportunities, Grassy Lake offers fishing, hiking, and camping at nearby Chin Lakes, as well as the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the surrounding prairie landscape.
